How to Sign Up
To create your free Photomama account:
 
  • Go to www.photomama.com
  • Click the “Join Now” button located on the screen or in the login button in the upper right hand corner there is a link titled “Join Photomama Today”.
  • You will then be taken to another page where you will have the ability to enter your information, accept the terms/conditions and sign up for newsletters, promotions and contest info!
  • Enter your name and email address
  • Choose and enter a password that's easy for you to remember, but difficult for others to guess. Your password should be a minimum of 5 characters long. Please do not use spaces or symbols. Only letters and numbers are accepted.
  • Once you are finished entering your information just click the “JOIN NOW” button and you will officially become a Photomama member!
  • We will send you a welcome email to confirm your registration.
 
Logging in to your account  
Once you've signed up with Photomama, you can log in to your account anytime.
 
  • Go to www.photomama.com
  • Select the “Login” tab in the upper right hand corner of your screen and a drop down box will appear for you to login into your account.
  • Type in the email address and password you registered with you created your account.
  • Click the 'login' button.
 
Tip: If you forgot your password, click on the 'forgot password' button, and enter your email address. We'll send your password to you.  
If you want to use Photomama without having to log in every time you visit, click the box labeled "Remember me”."  
To log out of your account when you are finished using Photomama, just click on 'Logout' in the upper right corner of most pages of the site.  
Common Questions about Signing Up and Logging In  
Can I sign up through the mail or over the phone?
No. In order to use the Photomama website you need to sign up via the online form located on our website.
 
What if I've forgotten my password?
 
  • If you need to recover your password we will send your password to the email address stored in your Photomama account by following these simple steps.
  • Go to www.photomama.com and Click “Forget password?” link located in the login tab.
  • A small window containing a text field will pop up. Enter the email address you used to create your Photomama account and click on 'Get Password'.
  • Please wait a few moments and then check your email. There you will find an email message with your password.
  • Now simply return to Photomama and sign in.
 
What if I can't log in, even with the correct email address and password?
If you've verified that your browser accepts cookies and you still can't log in, please email customerservice@photomama.com with the following information:
 
  • Your first name, last name, email address, and mailing address (all exactly as you registered).
    If you have any other email addresses, please be sure to include them in the message.
  • Which computing platform you are using (Macintosh, Windows)
  • Which browser you are currently using and the version (e.g., Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer 5.0, Netscape 6.0, etc.)
 
My Account
In 'My account', you can add or update any of your personal info, including your name, email address or mailing address. Here's how:
 
  • Click on the "My account" link near the top of most pages.
  • Click on the “Edit personal Info” link near the top of this page.
  • A smaller window will open where you are able to update your First name, Last name, Company Name, Address1, Address2, City, Country, State, Zip code, Phone.
  • If you want Photomama, to update you with special promotions, newsletters,
    and contest information, then click on checkbox.
  • When changes are completed simply click on the “Submit” button or click "Cancel" if you don’t want to change your information.
 
Change Password
  • To change your password simply click on the “Change password” link near the top of the “My Accounts” page.
  • A smaller window will open asking you to enter your current password, your new password (at least 5 characters long), and your new password again to verify it.
  • Once completed just click on “submit”.
 
Order History
Order history is a convenient reference for you to view your current and/or past orders. In this section you will find listings for the Order ID, Order Date, Amount, Status, Payment and View. You can sort through these columns simply by using the up and down arrows. Each of these items are explained below:
 
Order ID—this is the number your order is given when sent in for processing. If you ever have the need to contact us about your order this is the number you will need to refer to.
Order Date—this is the date you placed the order
Amount—the amount of the transaction.
Status—this is the status of your order. At the bottom of the screen you will see a key indicating what each of the symbols mean.
Payment—This indicates the status on the payment of your order.
View—By clicking on the magnifying glass you will be taken to your order receipt. To close out of this screen simply click the “X”. In addition to the items above your receipt also shows you:
 
Description—What you ordered
Unit Price—Cost of the item purchased
Quantity—Amount of that line item ordered
Total Price—Final amount for that line item
Offers—Discounts for promotional codes are displayed here
Shipping Amount—Costs incurred for shipping
Total—Final total for your order including products, promotional offers and shipping.
 
Address Book
Address Book is a great way to store and organize addresses of friends and family. You can add and edit addresses for your friends and family for use when sharing photos. Address changes for existing contacts:
 
  • Click on “Address Book” Link on the left side of this page.
  • A window will open with the all your current contacts.
  • Locate the person you need to change the information on by either typing the name in the search bar, or by scrolling through your contacts.
  • Click on this edit icon.
  • A smaller window with the all the information on that contact will open allowing you to edit the information.
  • When your changes are complete, just click “Submit”
  • If you are deleting a contact just click “Delete”.
  • If you reached this page by mistake then click cancel to go to back to the previous page.
 
Adding a New Contact  
  • Click “Add New Contact” Link
  • A smaller page will open where you have to add the new contacts information.
  • Click “submit” to save and update.
  • Click cancel to go back to the previous page.
 
Import a Contact  
  • Click on ADD FROM MY ADDRESS BOOK.
  • A smaller page will open where you will have option to choose your address from different location where ever your contacts being stored. Like America online, Outlook express, Yahoo, GMail, Other or Plaxo.
  • Click any 1 option, and then click NEXT.
  • A small window will open where you need to give your email address or sign in and then your password corresponding to the selection made on the previous page.
  • Click Sign in.
  • All of your contact information stored in the selected account will be displayed.
  • You can select all the contacts at one time by clicking the “Check All” option on that page.
  • If you want to choose individually then just check the contact you want to add and then click NEXT.
  • A small window with all selected address will be displayed, then click Save.
 
Photo Storage Details
The photo storage details help the user to know the following things. S.no (serial number), Date, Description, Before size, After size, Changes, Size, Count, Status.
 
In the bottom left hand corner of the screen you will see the number of storage uploads you have in your account. 
To scroll through these and find the transaction you are interested in just click on the [Next] or [Previous] buttons located in the bottom right hand section of the screen.  
Adding Photos  
  • Click on “Add Photos” link on the top of the page.
  • You will be given the choice to click on “Choose the Existing Album” or ” Create New Album”.
 
Adding Photos to Existing Album 
  • Click on Choose the Existing Album, and then select the album you wish to add to from your list of existing albums.
  • Click on “Upload”.
  • Select “Browse”.
  • Locate the photo(s) you want to add from your computer and select.
  • Then click on “Upload”
  • It will take few minutes for your photo(s) to upload in the same album.
  • Create a New Album
  • Click on Create a New album, and then give the Album a name.
  • You also have the option to add an “Album Description”, “Tag”, and “Type of Album”
  • For “Type of Album” public means others will be able to view your album when in gallery mode (coming soon!) and private means that viewing is limited to you and those you share with.
  • A new album with the specified name will be created and you can upload photos into it directly.
  • Click on “Create”.
  • Click on “Browse”.Select the photo(s) from your computer and click “Upload”.
  • The amount of time for the photos to upload will depend on the number of photos being uploaded.
  • When finished you will be given the option to add more or view your photos.
 
Sharing Photos 
  • Click on the share tab in the top navigation bar. You will be taken to a screen showing your albums.
 
Share Entire Album 
  • As you roll your mouse over each album you will see a box appear with the option to “Rename”, “Delete” or “Share”.
  • Select “Share”
  • You will be taken to a page called “Share Email Information”
  • Select the recipients email address
  • For those already in your address book simply select the check box next to the email address and then the “Select” arrow. This will move that email address into the “Recipients” window.
  • If it is a new email address, simply type it in the “Recipients” window. If more than are entered be sure to use a comma to separate each one.
  • You will have the option to revise the “SUBJECT” line for the email being sent and to add a personal message.
  • You may then send the message by clicking the “Share Now” button at the bottom of the screen.
  • You will then see a screen indicating the success of the share.
  • At this time you will also be asked if you want to save any new email addresses you entered.
  • If you wish to save these new email addresses simply click the check box next to the email address and click “Save Address”.
  • The next window gives you the opportunity to add information about this contact. When you are finished select “Save Address” and this new contact will automatically be added to your address book.
 
Share Select Photos 
  • In the My Albums section, choose the album that contains the photo you wish to share and click on it.
  • Photos from that album will be displayed.
  • Select the photo(s) you wish to share and click “Share”
  • You will be taken to a page called “Share Email Information”
  • Select the recipients email address
  • For those already in your address book simply select the check box next to the email address and then the “Select” arrow. This will move that email address into the “Recipients” window.
  • If it is a new email address, simply type it in the “Recipients” window. If more than are entered be sure to use a comma to separate each one.

Renaming or Deleting Albums 
    • In order to change the name of an existing album you will need to follow these steps:
    • Select the “Albums” tab.
    • Your albums page will open.
    • Scroll until you find the album you wish to rename or delete.
    • As you hover over the album you will see an option appear to “Rename”, Delete” or “Share”.
    • Select which the action you wish to take.
    • A pop up window will appear where you have the option to change the name or a confirmation window if you have chosen delete.
 
Editing Photos 
  • There are many tools to assist you in editing your photos to enhance or change them.
  • You can access the editing tools from either the “Albums” tab or the “Prints” tab.
  • Find the album that contains the photo you wish to edit and click to select the album.
  • The photos in that album will appear below.
  • Locate the photo you wish to edit or enhance.
  • Select the photo by either double clicking on it or by single clicking to select and then clicking on the “Enhance” button.
  • The photo will open and the editing tools will appear.
 
Rename—You may rename the photo by clicking the “Rename” button. Type in the new name for this picture and click on the green checkmark to accept.
Info—Shows you information on your photograph such as:
 
Title—the name of your photo
Album—What album the photo is located in
File Size—The number of Megabytes (MB) required to save your photo
Resolution—The number of pixels in your image. If your image is 2048 pixels wide and 1536 pixels high then you can find your total resolution by multiplying 2048x1536 for a total of 3,145,728 pixels or 3.1 Megapixels
Date Added—the date you uploaded this photo
Description—any items you noted about this photo
 
Crop Photo
 
  • When selected, small white boxes and black lines appear around photo.
  • First check to make sure you have the desired aspect ratio (photo size) and orientation (landscape/portrait) selected.
  • Then using your mouse click and drag on any of the white boxes to resize and crop your photo.
  • To move around in the photo place your mouse in any active colored area. Click and move the new frame around to the desired location.
  • When you are ready click on the “crop” button and your new photo will appear.
  • You then have the option to :
    1. “Undo Crop” and start over
    2. “Save” the photo you just cropped. A warning will appear asking you is you wish to edit the original image. If yes select “OK” and if not select “CANCEL”.
    3. “Save a copy” allows you to keep the original image and make a copy that is edited. If this is selected a pop up window will open that allows you to select the album you want to save the new photo in. If you wish you may create a new album for this photo as well. When you have made your selection—click on “Save”.
 
Fix Redeye—Allows you to remove redeye from your photo.
 
  • Select the area on the photo where the eye is that you wish to correct.
  • An enlarged view of this is shown to the right of your photo.
  • Select the area to be changed with your mouse.
  • Click “Remove”.
  • If you are happy with the change select “Save”.
 
Add Borders—This feature allows you to add borders to your photo. Clicking on “Add Borders” will open a drop down box. Select the border you desire. No border, white border or sloppy border.

Additional Effects—Here are some fun tools for you to change the way your photo appears! When you have completed your changes simply click save.
 
Black & White—changes the photo from color to black & white by checking the box.
Saturation—allows you to vary the amount of color you want.
Brightness—Changes how light or dark the photo is.
Contrast—changes the contrast of the colors in the photo.
Sepia—changes the photo to a sepia tone by checking the box.
Mirror—if selected will flip the photo to a mirror image by checking the box.
 
Rotate Photo—Allows you to rotate the photo right or left.

Add Text—Gives you the option to add text to the photo, choose the color and move the text to a new location.
 
  • Enter you text in the area provided.
  • Select a color for the text by clicking in the color box (black is the default color).
  • You may then leave the text where it is (default is the bottom of the photo) or on the photo use your mouse to move the text to a new location.
 
Photo Gift
To access the gifts option in Photomama you need to follow these steps.
 
  • Click on “Gifts” tab on the top of the page.
  • Look for the product you want to make a gift from by reviewing the categories and gifts available in the left hand navigation bar.
Adding Photo to the Gift Selected
Once you have selected the gift you wish to make you will be taken to the “Product” or “Style” Link at the side of the page. Your albums will show at the top of the page.
  • Click the album you wish to select a photo from.
  • Select your photo.
  • Click and drag the photo to the gift item where it says “Drag and drop image here”.
  • To move the image around you have to use your mouse. Just click on the image and move it as desired.
  • Click on for zooming in, Click on for zooming out.
  • Click on for rotating the photo towards left side. Click on for rotating right side.
  • After you finish the process of adding photo to the product, you are ready to add it to the cart.
  • Enter the quantity in the quantity space provided at the top.
  • Click on “add to cart”.
  • After clicking on to the “add to cart”, it will directly go to the View cart page.
 
Photobooks
To create a photobook click on “BOOKS” tab on the top of the page.
 

Edit or View Saved Photobooks

  • If you have started other photobooks that you saved or have previously created a photobook those will been shown in this window.
  • By clicking on the desired book you will be able to choose to open them for editing or delete them.
 
Create a New Photobook 
  • Click to create a new photobook and a window will appear with a photo album in it.
  • Name your photobook, select the cover style, cover material and cover color.
  • Click “Get Started”
  • The book will open and you will be on a page that has “Albums View” or “Photo View” at the top.
  • If “Album Views” is selected you will see your albums displayed across the top of the page.
  • Select an album and you will be taken to “Photos View”.
  • If “Photos View” is selected you will see only photos from the album that is currently open.
  • Choose a layout for the current page by selecting the “LAYOUTS” tab at the bottom of the page.
  • This will show you what page layouts are currently available for this book. Select one to drag and drag it up to the selected page and drop, or leave the default.
  • Choose a theme (page color/background design) for your page by selecting the “THEMES” tab and scrolling to select the background of your choice. Click on your choice and drag it up to the page selected and let go.
  • To add a photo simply select the photo and drag it into the layout frame and release. You will then have the option to zoom in, zoom out or rotate the photo.
  • You may also add text to any of your photo page by double clicking the “Edit Text” area below the inserted photograph.
  • To move to the next page click the arrows. Your book will save each time you move to another page.
  • If you have filled your book and need more pages, simply click the GREEN PLUS SIGN and additional pages will be added to your book. There is a fee for additional pages and you will see the increase in the price on the right hand side above your book.
  • When you are finished select “CLOSE” to save your book or “BUY” to purchase it.
 
View Cart
To view the contents of your shopping cart. Select “View Cart”. In this section you will be able to view and change the following:
 

Empty Cart—removes all items from your shopping cart.
Continue Shopping—takes you back to the last screen you were on.
Checkout—Starts the process of purchasing the items in your cart.
Description—The item you added to the cart
By clicking on the you will have the ability to edit the quantity, etc.. of that item.
By clicking on the you will be given the option to delete that item from your cart
Unit Price—the individual cost of the item
Quantity—the number of the individual item you selected for purchase
Total Price—the unit price x the quantity selected
Photomama Discount—If you have an valid offer code please enter it in the area provided and select “Recalculate”. This will update your cart.

 
Checkout
When checkout is selected the following screens will appear:
 
  • Shipping and Billing Information
  • Enter your payment information
  • Enter your shipping information—If your billing information is different than your shipping information please “UNSELECT” the check box in shipping information. This will allow you to add the correct shipping location to your order.
  • Review Order
    • In the upper right corner you can select the shipping method you would like. Prices for each are shown in the drop down box.
    • Once selected the “Grand Total” will be reflected on your screen.
    • Then you need to view and verify that the following were entered correctly
    • If it is correct select “Submit Order”
  • Success Status Screen—If all your information is correct your order will be placed and you will get a “success” screen that displays the following:
    • Payment Approval
    • Order reference number
    • Notice that email is being sent to you about your order
    • Order Invoice print option
